Learning Objectives Participants should become familiar with the currently available standardized methods for assessing patient experience outcomes in their inpatient and outpatient practices; how such assessments in certain situations are publically reported and affect reimbursement; and generalizable strategies for implementing changes in their practices that may lead to improvement in patients’ experience Specific examples of institutions that have managed to implement successful patient experience improvement initiatives will demonstrate actionable strategies for removing barriers to improvement, in a variety of different health care environments.
