Participants should be able to develop approaches to the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of patients with sleep disorders likely to be encountered in general neurology practice, utilizing the most up-to-date information. Participants should be able to generate a differential diagnosis for patients who present to the office with hypersomnia, insomnia, sleep apnea and parasomnias, including abnormal motor activities during sleep; recognize the utility and limitations of sleep laboratory testing; and update their knowledge of therapeutic options for common sleep disorders.
