Participants should enhance their expertise in recognizing and managing common neurobehavioral syndromes that accompany dementia, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and related disorders. Participants should develop history-taking, cognitive examination, and neurobehavioral assessment skills; learn guidelines for conducting a formal neurobehavioral assessment, including related coding and billing issues; and utilize ancillary laboratory and imaging studies in an efficient manner to aid in the differential diagnosis of neurobehavioral disorders.
