This program explores the neurobiological, psychological, and clinical foundations of music-based interventions for neurocognitive disorders, drawing on emerging evidence from neuroscience, endocrinology, and behavioral research. Through case studies and clinical programs including Musical Museum, Clinically Designed Improvisatory Music, and Musical Bridges to Memory, it illustrates how music engages distributed brain networks, modulates stress and immune pathways, and supports communication, emotional regulation, and social connection.
