Participants should become familiar with ICU postoperative neurosurgical care to prevent secondary brain injury and recognize/manage acute complications (hemorrhage, ischemia, edema, seizures, etc); understand indications for hyperosmolar therapy through ischemic stroke cases and compare efficacy/safety of HTS and mannitol; mitigate cognitive bias in neuroprognostication through multimodal data integration, appropriate timing, and effective communication of uncertain prognosis with surrogates.
