By the end of this program, participants should be able to identify the clinical criteria for diagnosing epilepsy in patients with a single unprovoked seizure; evaluate the risks and benefits of treating patients with a single unprovoked seizure as if they have epilepsy; discuss the latest evidence and guidelines regarding the management of patients with a single unprovoked seizure; and formulate individualized treatment plans for patients presenting with a single unprovoked seizure, considering patient-specific factors and preferences.
