Participants should be able to identify the recent key consumer experience trends in health care; describe the factors that contribute to poor patient experience and to patients not feeling comfortable sharing data, including their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity, and formulate a plan to address these factors; and discuss best practices for the collection of this data in the electronic health record.
