Patient access and advanced practice provider (APP) education and retention were the primary motivating forces behind Duke University starting a Neurology APP Fellowship 10 years ago. The rationale behind this program, the program outline/curriculum, and results in practice will be discussed. Additionally, the national movement to expand these educational opportunities will be reviewed.
