Participants should understand the rationale for the newly proposed definition of TIA and the early risk and evaluation for TIA; be able to discuss the evidence supporting the use of carotid and intracranial stenting; choose appropriately among the different antithrombotic agents for stroke prevention, including aspirin, clopidogrel, dipyridamole, and warfarin; and understand and know the latest evidence supporting the role of migraine in stroke causation and prevention.
