The mean age (±SD) of study participants was 43±16.1 years (range 20-84), and 129 (50.8%) were men. The normative value range (2.5 percentile to 97.5 percentile) of sweat volume was 0.230-1.303µl (forearm), 0.236-1.212µl (proximal leg), 0.262-1.254µl (distal leg) and 0.217-1.160µl (foot) for all the subjects. The QSART volume was significantly greater in men in all the sites: forearm (0.673 vs 0.512µl, p<0.001), proximal leg (0.665 vs 0.527µl, p<0.001), distal leg (0.713 vs 0.533µl, p<0.001) and foot (0.548 vs 0.486µl, p<0.001). There was decline of sweat volume with age for distal leg and foot (p=0.042 and 0.031 respectively) whereas other two sites had no difference. There was no correlation between QSART volume and BMI.
