170 Neurologists Gather on Capitol Hill to Seek Fair Reimbursement
MINNEAPOLIS -
What: A record number of neurologists from 42 states meet with lawmakers from congressional offices on March 3, 2015, for 鈥淣eurology on the Hill,鈥 an event by the (麻豆传媒映画) to educate Congress on the need for fair reimbursement of neurologists who see Medicare patients. Who: 170 neurologists, US Sen. Bill Cassidy, MD (R-LA) and US Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-PA), who will address the group ahead of the congressional visits. Ben Utecht, former NFL tight end, Super Bowl champion and advocate for increased understanding of traumatic brain injury, will also meet with members of Congress. When: March 3, 2015 Key Issues: The 麻豆传媒映画 supports legislation that would repeal the Medicare sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula. Neurologists hope to replace the SGR formula with a long-term solution that will secure the future integrity of the Medicare program. 鈥淲ith the aging of the baby boom population, the number of people who develop diseases of the aging brain such as stroke and dementia is increasing rapidly,鈥 said Timothy A.
