Participants should become familiar with the diagnostic approach to the patient with acute stroke; understand the data supporting various acute stroke therapies including medical management, thrombolytics, neuroprotectants, and interventional treatments; and learn how new approaches, such as imaging, can improve acute stroke care by improving patient selection.
