Saturday 05/02/09
06:45 AM - 08:30 AM Add To Calendar
This program will be presented both in-person and online
This program is not expected to be available in the meeting's On Demand product.
Breakfast Seminar
Nancy J. Newman, MD, FÂ鶹´«Ã½Ó³»
Participants should be able to understand the basics of how OCT imaging works to quantitate retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness, macular volume, and optic nerve head characteristics; recognize neurologic disorders and optic neuropathies for which OCT imaging may provide helpful information about disease status and axonal or neuronal degeneration; learn how structure-function correlations provided by vision testing techniques and OCT make the anterior visual pathways a useful system for evaluating neuroprotective; and other novel therapies for neurologic disease using multiple sclerosis and acute demyelinating optic neuritis as models.
