Learning Objectives Participants will first learn the concept of "emerging" neuro-infectious diseases. Second, faculty will review several selected emerging viruses that can infect the nervous system. Third, faculty will present several cases of emerging bacterial/fungi/parasitic neurologic disease. Finally, faculty will discuss how we as providers, scientists, and society as a whole can help prevent the next "emerging threat." A question and answer session with the faculty will follow.
