Attendees will be introduced to the diversity of poetic expression across gender, cultural, and generational lines. A discussion of craft skills of writing poetry will include narrative development, imagery, pacing, syntax, diction, lineation, use of metaphor and simile, and sonic features. Attendees will be encouraged to submit a poem for critique.
