Participants should become aware of a program that offers clinical PhD pharmacologist consultations to selected patients in the practice without any. Practicing "value-based pharmacy," these pharmacologists perform comprehensive medication reconciliation, reduce side effects, improve adherence, reduce side effect burdens, and generate cost savings for the patient. The pharmacist consultations can be supported entirely by recent changes in CMS coding, as well as by improving MIPS/HEDIS scores.
