Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG)
Participants should be able to localize neurological symptoms and signs using applied neuroanatomy, with direct application to the optimal evaluation of patients. They should be aware of the indications, strengths, and weaknesses of various neurological imaging modalities, and understand key issues in the review of the imaging studies. They should be able to describe the use and interpretation of neurophysiology techniques including EMG and EEG. In the common topics in clinical neurology session, participants should learn the optimal evaluation and management of patients with common headache disorders, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and COVID-19, all commonly seen in clinical practice.
