Evidence of peripheral autologous mesenchymal stem cell (PAMSC) intravenous (IV)  infusion improves recovery of a non-acute ischemic stroke  patient .  

There are few studies of autologous mesenchymal stem cell treatment of ischemic stroke, the most studies are using bone marrow stem cell, very few studies used PAMSC treatment for promoting stroke recovery. There are no reports of PAMSC treatment for non-acute stroke patient to improve residual symptoms of stroke.

Intravenous blood 50 ml was drawn from the patient,  the blood samples are prepared with separation  of stem cells with Eppendorf Centrifuge. Using prepared PAMSC intravenous infuse to a 55 year- old male patient who had stroke 4 months prior to the treatment. 

Before the treatment, the patient complains of residual of symptoms from the stroke, including dizziness, brain fog, unsteadiness and weakness of legs 4 month after his stroke . A MRI of two day after stroke revealed  multiple acute stroke within right MCA involving frontal, temporal/parietal areas. After the PAMSC treatment, the patient's symptoms are 99% resolved. His MRI of brain from 3 weeks after the PAMSC treatment revealed multiple small vessel lacuna infarcts of the right corona radiata. No acute findings.   The previous right MCA infarction involving frontal/ temporal area are resolved. 

IV infusion of peripheral autologous mesenchymal stem cells to a non-acute stroke patient improves recovery of residual symptoms of the stroke in both clinically and radio-graphically ( well presenting the MRI) .  More clinical trails may benefit for this emerging treatment.
